Passion Project Update 2

I have gotten very far on my passion project over the last two weeks. When I started I had a list of about 20 questions that I wanted to answer to help guide me when I created my presentation. I did a lot of the research and I have more than half of the questions answered. Some of the answers have been easy to find while others are giving me trouble. I wanted to research the "falling" dreams where it feels like you're falling before you are suddenly jerked awake. Although, there have been many conflicting theories and no set scientific explanation. I also wanted to research spiritual dreams. Some people have been visited by their loved ones who have passed on and wanted to know if it is an actual visit or if the brain creates it to help with grieving. I have not been able to find much information on this at all and the information I have been able to find is usually biased because of the people that believe in an afterlife and those who do not.
So far, I have been able to figure out why you remember certain dreams and why suddenly some dreams can resurface, almost like a memory. I have also compiled a list of facts about dreams that are unrelated to my list of questions. They don't fit in anywhere, but are cool, like how blind people dream also. Overall, I am more than half way to putting together my final presentation. I can't wait to continue my research and look forward to discovering new things.

Passion Project Update 1

These past weeks on my passion project have been very productive. So far, I have laid my project out, but just the template. I have also compiled a list of things I need to research to make my presentation the best it can be. For the specifics, I have figured out how the sleep cycle works and what your brain does while you are asleep. In addition to that, I learned what makes you remember your dreams and how sleep differs by age.
Although, I had some trouble when researching. The biggest obstacle would have to have been figuring out the stages of the sleep cycle because very recently, two of the stages had been added together and are now considered one. This made it hard because some of the websites weren't updated and had a lot of contrasting information. Overall, I had very productive days of research and look forward to continuing it.
